Mastercard at Fortunazo: debit, credit and payouts
Mastercard covers debit, credit and prepaid cards issued by thousands of banks, so the experience depends heavily on which card you hold. This page explains what changes between those card types in a casino cashier and what to check before relying on a card for both deposits and withdrawals. We cannot confirm that Mastercard is offered on every Fortunazo account: available methods and limits depend on the operator and on your account — check the cashier.
Debit, credit or prepaid — it matters
A debit card spends money already in your bank account, which makes it the most straightforward way to deposit with Mastercard. A credit card borrows: some issuers classify gambling payments as cash advances, which can mean an immediate fee and interest from the first day. A prepaid card may be accepted for deposits but rejected for refunds, because there is no bank account behind it to receive money. Know which one you are using before you type the number.
How a Mastercard deposit works
- Choose Mastercard in the cashier and enter the amount.
- Fill in the card details in the secure payment window.
- Approve the payment with your bank's authentication step (often branded "Mastercard Identity Check"), usually inside your banking app.
- Wait for the casino's confirmation and compare the credited amount with your bank statement.
Withdrawing with a Mastercard
Card payouts are where operators differ most. Some can return winnings to the same card; others refund only the deposited amount to the card and send anything above it by bank transfer; others skip card payouts entirely. A card refund passes through the card network after approval, so it usually arrives more slowly than an e-wallet payout and may appear on your statement as a refund rather than a transfer. Check the withdrawal rules in the cashier before your first deposit, not after a win.
Limits, timing and why they differ
Two sets of limits apply to every card payment: the casino's minimum and maximum for the method, shown in the cashier, and your bank's own daily or per-transaction caps for online payments. A deposit can fail even when it is within the casino's range simply because the bank's limit was reached. Timing differs too: deposits are confirmed in the same session, while refunds wait for the operator's review and then for the card network.
When the bank says no
Issuers in many countries let customers block gambling transactions, and some do it by default. If the payment is declined without a clear reason, look at the card controls in your banking app or ask your bank — the casino cannot override that decision. Repeating the attempt several times in a row can trigger fraud checks and temporarily freeze the card.
Fees and currency
Look for three possible costs: the operator's fee on the confirmation screen, your issuer's charges, and a conversion margin when the card currency differs from your account currency. Matching the currencies removes the last one.
From a phone
On a phone, the approval step jumps to your banking app. Approve, return to the browser and wait — tapping "pay" twice while the first approval is loading is the classic way to create a duplicate deposit. If your phone has a wallet app with a tokenised card, the cashier may or may not accept it; that depends on the payment processor.
Open FortunazoPractical verdict
A Mastercard debit card is a sensible first deposit method: familiar, fast to confirm, no extra account. For withdrawals, plan a second route in your own name. Available methods and limits depend on the operator and on your account — check the cashier.
